Easter Alternatives to Chocolate

Easter Chocolate Alternatives

Stuck for ideas on what to do for Easter? We got you!

Easter is not only a time for family and fun but also… CHOCOLATE! Now, as much as we all love chocolate (and we really do), too much chocolate with little ones can lead to some very tired parents!

Since we have plenty of time to complete some exciting activities, we wanted to suggest some of our favourite Easter activities for you and your little ones. These things you could buy instead of chocolate this Easter that make great gift for loved ones and your little ones. We know that times are hard at the moment, so we have included gifts that you can either order to you or a loved one or make at home.

We know that Easter crafts are a given but there is a huge amount of activities you can do with this, the list is endless! You could go to any supermarket and take your pick in their Easter section for lots of fun and messy activities to get stuck into. Our favourites are the painting sets, they are purse friendly and will keep little ones entertained for hours.

Making Easter bonnets is a traditional, fun craft for Easter, you can buy the little hats and decorations from any supermarket.

Another great craft is decorating boiled eggs. If you can’t get out to the shop but have some basic stuff in, this is a great way to add some Easter spirit into your household! You could turn them into chicks, Easter bunnies or favourite fun characters! looroll

Sheep are another staple part of Easter too, you can have a fun afternoon crafting them! If you have some empty toilet rolls and some cotton pads. Just get the tube, glue to cotton wool to them and make legs, eyes and ears out of cardboard or paper. We were inspired by this great photo from One Little Project.

Thoughtful gifts are a wonderful idea for loved ones at Easter. Things that are sentimental and last much longer than chocolate!

A wonderful idea that you could create for your other half as a gift from you and the little ones or for the little ones would be to create an Easter hamper full of their favourite things! Small toys, healthy snacks and crafts, or for the parents – wine, cheese and a secret stash of chocolate!

Our final idea for a lovely Easter gift is a mug, you can get personalised Easter mugs online, or you can buy a paint your own kit. Put the icing on the cake and turn it into a hot chocolate gift set which coco powder and marshmallows. We love this one from The Card Factory that you can personalise online!

We know that this Easter you may not be carrying out the plans that you originally wanted to, but we hope that whatever you do this Easter, you are spending it with ones you love, whether that be in person, through a screen or through a gift.

Love, Team Ziggle x
