Baby Essentials To Keep To Hand!
Having a newborn can be quite overwhelming at times, with so many products on the market it can be difficult to know what you actually need! It is always useful to have a little caddy or box on hand away from the main stash. Be it one for the nursery and one for the living room or whatever system you have in you house… the closer the nappies and wipes are, the better! We all go so inspired by the fabulous Mrs Hinch and her gorgeous grey caddy that she kept for on hand, we’ve put together a checklist of all the essentials you can keep on hand to make your day just that little bit easier.
Nappies
Starting with the obvious, spare nappies! Young babies need their nappies changing up to 10 to 12 times a day, whilst older babies need changing at least 6 to 8 times a day, so we recommend keeping some spare nappies on hand. This way, when disaster strikes, you’ll be prepared!
Wet Wipes
Talking about when disaster strikes, wet wipes are a must for on hand essentials! Those stinky explosions can happen at any time, so it’s best to be prepared and keep them close to you for emergency clean up! They are also handy for wiping baby’s hands and face for if they get milk or something sticky over them. Or lets face it, using them to quickly wipe up spills and muck… we’ve all done it!
Spare clothing
Carrying on with the poo explosion theme, we recommend keeping spare clothing to hand for quick changes when they’re needed! Zip Sleep Suits and Leggings are the way to go as they make changes super fast and efficient, so it’s like it never happened!
Bibs are the ultimate essential, especially for teething babies. We would recommend keeping between 2 to 3 bibs to hand to make sure your little dribbler stays dry from drool all day. We’ve said it before and we will say it again, Muslins are a parent’s best friend! It’s always a good idea to have a Muslin to hand as they
clean, comfort and cuddle, what more could you ask for? Muslins are also great for when you’re out and about as they can act as a cover when your breast feeding, and when needed, even an emergency nappy!
